Your privacy matters. This policy explains how Bayun collects, uses, and protects your information. We built Bayun with privacy at its core.

Account Information: Email address for authentication.

User Content: Journal entries, reflections, story responses, and dialogue conversations you create within the app.

Usage Data: Anonymous interaction data to improve the app experience.

Subscription Data: Purchase status and subscription type. We do not store payment details.

Your most personal content deserves the highest protection. Journal entries and personal reflections in Bayun are protected with client-side encryption.

How it works: Your content is encrypted on your device before being stored. The encryption key stays on your device and is never transmitted.

What this means: Even we cannot read your encrypted journal entries. Your deepest reflections remain yours alone.

Bayun's dialogue feature uses AI to provide personalized reflections. When you use this feature:

• Your messages are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses
• Conversations are not used to train AI models
• We do not sell or share your dialogue content with third parties

We use the following services:

• Supabase: Database and authentication
• Anthropic: AI dialogue processing
• Apple App Store: Distribution and payment processing

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security, and strict access controls.

Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data
• Export your data
• Object to processing

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems.

You can delete your account and all associated data through the app settings. Deletion is processed immediately and is irreversible.

Bayun is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and request its deletion. We do not sell personal information. Contact support@catbayun.com to exercise these rights.

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
