Terms of Service

By accessing or using Bayun ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Bayun is a guided journaling application for self-discovery and shadow work, built around Jungian archetypes and mythological frameworks. The Service includes daily stories, AI-powered dialogue, tarot reflections, and encrypted personal journaling.

Not a Mental Health Service: Bayun is not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for professional mental health care. It is designed for personal exploration and reflection only.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bayun. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement and are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Bayun offers auto-renewable subscription plans:

• Monthly: Billed every month until cancelled
• Annual: Billed once per year until cancelled

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Managing Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID account settings.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Refunds: Refund requests must be made through Apple according to their refund policy.

You retain ownership of all content you create within Bayun (journal entries, reflections, story responses). Your personal reflections are encrypted and remain private.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely for providing the Service to you. We do not sell, share, or use your personal content for training AI models.

Bayun includes AI-powered dialogue features. AI responses are generated for reflection purposes only and should not be considered professional advice.

Conversations with the AI are processed to generate responses but are not stored or used to train AI models. The AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or unexpected responses.

You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the application, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Mental Health Warning: If you are experiencing psychological distress, crisis, or suicidal thoughts, please stop using the Service and seek professional help immediately.

As-Is Service: The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

All content, features, and functionality of Bayun (excluding your personal content) are owned by Bayun and protected by intellectual property laws.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bayun from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support@catbayun.com.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court. You agree to waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
